  It wasn’t the title nor the movie poster that enticed me, that’s the work of the S-N sisters who have watched this movie approx. a billion times. They didn’t disappoint. The editing absolutely playful, the music ironically romcom, the story so dramatic but also 💦

  This movie has racked up a couple of mediocre reviews, being accused of “romanticizing German colonialism” and what not. I can see the argument, that the movie doesn’t center around the day-to-day life of the Herero, but the suffering is conveyed all to well.
