Idk how to feel about this…. I dont know if i’m being small-minded or maybe i just dont understand the deeper meaning but where’s the revenge…? It’s 1 and an half hours of Jules have violence and hate constantly thrown at him and at the end you anticipate an empowering outcome which kinda doesn’t happen. I can see what they were trying to do but i don’t think it works for me personally. I just hate this trope in queer media (especially when POC are involved) where they have this weird stockholm syndrome with their abusers. Good performances though 😭
