Theo was phenom as the twin brothers and his narration reminded me of an existential Sandlot, but I almost wish they’d taken this further? I was hoping to be a little more terrified but I was certainly entertained.
The deaths were camp and crazy and hilarious but there’s a lull in the middle where it feels like the plot isn’t moving. I will say that callback to the skydiving for weddings was funny with the monkey going apeshit (pun intended)…

Ayo Edebri was fab as usual, I could watch her make shocked and disconcerting expressions for three hours no complaints, John Malkovich plays the sinister beneath the surface pop idol well and leans into the eccentricities in a way where you can’t help but watch.
I did feel like the energy was up in the climax of the film and the “two years later” killed the momentum for me. Obviously you have to wrap up the film somehow, but personally…
You know I don’t take much interest in the Catholic Church but Ralph Fiennes had me locked into that hot cardinal goss.
In general this movie delighted me I really enjoyed watching it, Stanley Tucci and Ralph Fiennes being in the same room was a happy bonus as well. All of the micro interactions between characters sells the experience.
