Three Colours: Red 1994
This is Kieślowski at the top of his game: a subtle meditation on fate, coincidence, fraternity and parallel lives. Moving, deep and absolutely beautiful.

Yokai Monsters: Spook Warfare 1968
Lighter, funnier and filled with a lot more oddball creatures than the previous entry, this one felt like hanging out with your best friends. If your best friends were a mischievous human-like turtle guy and a monster that looks like a one-eyed umbrella who jumps on one leg.

Yokai Monsters: 100 Monsters 1968
The eerie wide shot of the yōkai's parade to the forest is so good it only makes it even sadder that the rest of the film is sort of a slow but hot mess that unsuccessfully tries to balance its feudal politics with awesome monster fun. The one-eyed umbrella tongue yōkai is the best!
