Nickel Boys 2024
I'm genuinely torn on this one. The first person perspective was sometimes absorbing but sometimes just challenging? Even when I was immersed in it, I think it was primarily because of the cinematography and evocative nature of the sound design, rather than being pulled in by the actual story. There's a distance somewhere in the viewing experience that I wish I didn't feel because there's so much to love here and it just didn't hit like it should for me.
