Ok, I just don't really like Christian Bale's Batman. He's just annoying. I don't get it. And his damn voice!! I also have a dislike for Maggie Gyllenhaal. But, Heath Ledger's joker saves the movie for me. Definitely my favorite portrayal of the character to ever exist. But, while I don't necessarily like the actors chosen for the roles, I cannot deny that this is one of the best superhero movies ever. The world that Christopher Nolan created in this movie is unlike any other superhero world in film ever, and the cinematography is excellent.
Okay, I liked it, it was fine. But it wasn't anything special for me. Sure I was entertained and everything but for me there wasn't a big "wow" factor. I also wasn't ever on the edge of my seat or super anxious about what was going to happen. The movie didn't make me care enough.
also: Brad Pitt eats a lot of food in this movie. So much so that I actually noticed and it made it weird.
I liked Oceans 8 with all the women much better but that's just my opinion.

The purpose of Sunset Boulevard was to debunk the “life is easy” and “dreams come true” theories about Hollywood. The struggle to establish and maintain a presence in Hollywood is just as hard as other places. The cut-throat atmosphere sometimes means compromising values and morals in order to follow your dreams.
