Wow, shoutout to Jared for this recommendation, really liked this one. Any plot line where a gruff and tough adult with a troubled past ends up as a parental figure to a weird kid instantly has my heart.
It was cool to see Justin Timberlake play a character like Palmer, I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked him for this role. The kid who played Sam knocked it out of the park too, hope to see him in more…

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone 2001
Honestly a fun movie that exceeded my expectations. I was afraid I had too many assumptions about the series from pop culture references to really engage with the movie, but I was definitely on the edge of my seat.
Great acting all around, especially from a bunch of 11 year olds, and idk why but the British accents make it extra funny.Also I know this is incredibly late in the game to have just seen Harry Potter for the first time. I apologize, but I finally got to it

This series is starting to feel like star wars’ whimsical cousin. The quidditch scene was giving big pod racer vibes
Also I was totally duped on the Tom Riddle being Voldemort thing. I’m used to Voldemort being an ugly scary noseless guy, not some hot twink from 1950.
Not as much novelty as the first movie but still a fun watch. Let’s roll episode 3.3/5
