coming from someone who has never seen the stage musical: you can feel the love and care put into this movie, the costumes and set design are incredible, and cynthia erivo is perfectly casted. i generally enjoyed the sound design, but most of all during "one short day," which was the probably the best scene in the entire movie. of course most of the songs were thoroughly enjoyable, and i loved the scoring-- but that's praise for the source material.…
