These are the types of books I enjoy reading - so I really enjoyed this movie! Kieran Culkin and Jesse Eisenberg bring depth and nuance to the real family drama, making the script universally believable. I know people are loving Culkin in this movie (& same! You can’t look away when he’s on screen), but I really enjoyed Jesse’s character/writing as well.
& Cinematically, sneaky great!
I *really* enjoyed this! From the beginning singing this land is your land to saying goodbye to Sylvia, I genuinely felt transported back to the 60s. Great script, fantastic acting, set design and costuming were a chefs kiss.
I love the fact that they didn’t show Bob’s childhood, but I still got the grasp of his fame, I really didn’t need to know where he came from/who raised him. It’s actually crazy how much people don’t/didn’t know about B.D. -…
Mannnnn my Wes Anderson era hit HARD after this one came out. It really made me appreciate camera shots and editing and coloring in a new way. Thanks, Wes 🫶🏽

Music - I didn’t like it at first then I got used to it and it really impacted my anxiety level (the point!), so I thought it ended up being a great choice
