This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I’m not always a hater of ambiguous endings but in this case I am. I kept waiting for the twist, for the big reveal- and it never came. I understand the intentionality of the ambiguous ending, as Marge said, the audience “must decide to believe” what really happened. Unfortunately, it just didn’t do it for me. I wanted the truth, especially after how long the movie was.

12 Angry Men 1957
I was skeptical of how engaging this would be when I learned it took place in a single setting, as I’m sure anyone would be. What this film needed was fantastic character writing with little room for error, and it delivered. Tremendous acting and solid dialogue, makes you forget that you never leave the room. The conflation of juror #3’s personal life and the trial is just a cherry on top as we see his own personal baggage start to weigh on him. I enjoyed this so much more than I expected I would, definitely a rewatch in the future!
