Andrew Scott, the man you are. Such a deeply moving story with genuine humor. I don’t know how they did it. I think only Andrew is talented enough to shape-shift like that.

Sonia made me cry. I fell in love with Dr. Michael. Uncle Ivan broke my heart. And Liam, darling Liam. How beautifully he occupied that little chair.

“In the last moment of your life, imagine all the pain you ever felt dissolving and the sky is made of diamonds and you’ll see what all your life was for, that it was worth something.” UGHHHHH this one will stick with me.

This is the movie that made me want to be a writer. I watch it probably once a year anyway but especially when I need to remember why I put myself through the agony of this profession. Because movies like this molded me when I was a spongy, nonstick teenager looking for anything interesting to latch onto. It felt like it was written for me and by my brain the first time I watched it and it still feels that way now. The whole thing just feels like a warm hug from an old friend.
