    I followed how Oz Perkins builds his directing filmography since the unheralded “February” (or “Blackcoat’s Daughter). Right from the start he displayed a knack toward the intimate, character-driven stories, a fascination with the occult and a sentiment for archetypical fables. This is why he didn’t disappoint me with “Hansel and Gretel”. The quality of this effort gave him a more generous poetic license and resources to picture an even more horrifying story in “Longlegs”.
