  This shit moved way too fast but I LOVE a critique on suburbia and I especially love any psychosexual aspect to a thriller. Easy watch, everything is laid out perfectly for you, there were a lot of open opportunities for various different (even wild) endings but it’s, rather disappointingly, the exact ending you expect.

  A complex interrogation of misogyny and the unacknowledged undercurrent of emotional labor performed by women to upkeep not only the home (and other senses of domesticity) but the ego of men. Further, it is an interrogation of a complicated response to abusive behavior. Karen is quite literally built by Plankton to be his ideal wife, and her only capacity for autonomy is to become destructive and oppressive towards others through a cruel reflection of her own subjugation and belittlement.
