My dad made me watch it with him just so he could quote the lines before the actors said them. He perpetually uses the line “it’s like playing cards with my brother’s kids” everytime I’m taking too long to do anything. I also thought Val Kilmer looked like a normal human being and not a grotesque alien like he does is other movies.

Messed with this heavy. Deviated from the source material a bit but I liked how the changes added more to the story that the original didn’t have. I wish the more iconic parts of the original were added like the rising from the coffin and Orlok approach Hutter from beyond the door to his room but the movie was still effectively disturbing like the original. Orlok had hair and a mustache tho which felt off. Fw Willem Dafoe’s character the most. 4.5 decapitated pidgeons out of 5
