  A love letter to underground indie bands.

  This film is far from perfect, as the plot itself is quite cliché and predictable. But as an aspiring musician who still has a long way ahead of him, I view this film as a glimpse of what to expect in the future. Sooner or later, I’ll reminisce about this film as I look forward to my musical life (If it ever makes any progress which I doubt).

  “Why, mother, nothing happens as we wish? Why? Why does one have to rot in silence torn between pain and desire? Why did I live my life in exile? Tell me mother, why can't one learn to love?”

  I don't understand why Theo Angelopoulos isn't recognized as much as other great directors such as Tarkovsky, Bergman, Haneke, and others. I must admit I haven't really watched any of the films by the directors I said earlier, but I'm pretty sure…
