Death Becomes Her 1992
I truly don’t know what to rate this. It’s such a comical, quirky film with incredible actors and it’s well done. The practical effects are hilarious, they definitely leaned into it when they weren’t using CGI, and it’s interesting to think what they did considering CGI was in its earlier stages. This movie definitely pays homage to Young Frankenstein, it also had certain elements including the niche humor that’s akin to Clue. I didn’t LOVE it but I liked it and definitely enjoyed watching it.

I’m not one for reviews, but I love a love letter to art and film. ❤️ There’s so many good quotes and moments, and it’s beautifully shot. The nod to the comment about where the horizon is at the end scene with an abrupt camera move was perfect.

Still Breathing 1997
There’s some interesting artistic choices, but overall the plot is precarious and falls flat. The only real plot in this movie is a young, dreamy Brendan Fraiser who is such a romantic in the film that he should be the standard for “manic pixie dream boy”. He carried this odd little movie on his strong, beautiful shoulders and that’s really all you need.
