Yeeesh! Started off strong with a really cool action sequence. Then it just became what it is. Lots of millennial “swearing is funny” type gags and also Ryan Reynolds. What reason was there to bring Dracula in like this? It’s such a poor way of introducing him. He should have been some king of the underground society that already existed. Or something. Not just a guy who can be brought back to hunt some pretty good vampire hunter. Not like blades the only one. The movie should have been about blade hunting after the tomb of Dracula. Not this generic save a kidnapped girl nonsense.

Heavy Metal 1981
Would have benefitted from better animation, better acting and an original score that actually fit the mood of each of the comics being adapted. In many ways it fails to express the fun and intrigue of most of its stories with a few exceptions. The forced through line with the green orb really doesn’t work in the films favor however the last story is a lot of fun and the shorts before it should have taken more from it. Like…
