This is not my genre but I wanted to see Tig Notaro. She did. It disappoint and had fun laughing at the absurdity with my husband. My favorite line was: “Is that a zombie in a cape???”

I LOVE Jack Black and that is the only reason this got a few stars. Who was this movie for? Too kiddish for adults but so much cursing for a kids movie. I loved the idea when I heard it but this was not it. My seven year old was not interested at all. They should have made it PG and really leaned in to it being a movie for kids and it could have been good. The weird melodramatic scenes with the parents felt so hallmark and out of place. I would have rather just watched JB noodle around for an hour in horns.
