• Generic working (what the hell department does Samuel work in?). The company never convinced me it’s a real company, it just seemed like a fabricated setting that only exist so this story can take place.
• What an insufferably dull character Samuel is, my goodness. He looks like an exaggerated caricature of how non-Gen Z people imagine Gen Z to be.
• Everything happens so incredibly fast. There was a huge missed opportunity to build tension through lingering glances, subtle flirtation and unspoken thoughts. Had the film taken its time with these moments in the beginning, it would’ve been so much better.
