Why do I like it so much?
There is something, a certain "je ne sais quoi" about this movie. Sexism, free violence, a bad script and the characters are just the worst.
Yet, every now and then, I rewatch it. Maybe because it is blatant, mindless fun.
Also the 23 year old playing the 17 yeard old looks like a twice divorced 43 year old. This movie was the best one of the saga and I will die on this hill.
"How about me? Winner gets... me"
This movie gave me nightmares.
The production is amazing, the animation is amazing, the soundtrack is amazing, the pacing not so much but I loved it anyway. A sense of dread stuck with me for a while after watching the movie, images of the visceral reality of this surreal (yet natural) world engraved in my retinas.
Don't eat before watching this movie.

Good ol' "boy meets boy".
A beautiful subversion of a typical trope: the conflict of the characters comes from their flaws as humans, not from their sexualities. Great chemistry between the lead actors, the balance between roughness and tenderness makes the relationship seem genuine and real.
Predictable, would watch it over and over again.
