  i watched this a month ago at cine embajadores with miriam and maya and katya and fatima and it was so long and when we left we were all confused. i like thought it was cool stylistically and aesthetically for sure but he was so sweaty and awkward and the young guy was really hot. i didn't feel emotionally connected to anyone and didn't know what was happening and got lost

  katya and i, movie night on a monday evening. perused netflix and decided on this - i'd scrolled by it enough times that the font emerged clearly in my mind's eye. young winnona ryder and young angelina jolie were kinda awesome to see and were so good and compelling. a hard to describe movie not just because it probably wouldn't fly these days (idk) but really had these intense, raw dynamics and complex emotional performances. when it was over we both gave a big exhale.

  on the plane again, Boston to Lisbon. ultimately, I would marry Saoirse Ronan. She was outstanding as always. Really good and so place-based; the weaving in of the temperament of the island, the notes on birds and wildlife, the sea and storms made for a vivid and beautiful film. Makes me wanna go to the UK…
