  Second film of NYFF59

  This might be the most impactful film I’ve seen from Gaspar Noe, it will have a place in my memory for a very long time without a doubt. While it wasn’t perfect (mainly in terms of pacing), it manages to tell a story similar to that of “The Father” in a far more unique and visceral way.

  Drove an hour to see this lol. Kinda gave student film vibes with some of the interview shots and iMovie transitions. Still pretty touching to see a project by the late Storm involving a handful of people that aren’t around anymore, like they were brought back to tell Syd’s story. This had its flaws but was a great retelling in the end, really glad they gave various perspectives instead of just writing him off as an acid casualty
