Visually hypnotic and stunning. Regardless of how you feel about this film, it is hard to deny that it doesn’t look absolutely incredible, especially on Vinegar Syndrome’s new 4K scan.
Michael Mann’s scope is grand, he makes you feel the size and scope of this film with beautiful wide angle shots along with tracking shots that continue on and on, to the point where you really feel the scope that is both impressive and terrifying. The score by Tangerine Dream…

What can I say, I really enjoyed this one. Once again, the gore here is awesome. The look of Chromeskull(s) is again really good. “There’s a man with no life in his eyes”
I love the fact that they ran with Jason being dead and tried something different. Whether that works or not is up for debate. This installment is wild, sleazy and violent. Definitely could have benefited from showing more gore, thank you MPAA! At the end of the day I have fun with this film. It definitely has its flaws, but that doesn’t stop my enjoyment.
