Ponman 2025
When you grow up watching two working class women at home suffer, you don't make the lives of other women insufferable by being part of a system that enforces dowry. You can't entirely root for Basil's character in Ponman, but the ending leaves with a hope for redemption. Career best performance of Basil and Lijomol is always a delight to watch on screen. ❤️

Unstoppable 2018
Started off promisingly, despite a predictable plot device. Everything fell apart once the antagonist and his syndicate were revealed. Lame attempt at using humor as a filler didn't help either. Give it a try for Ma Dong's action blocks.

The Sabarmati Report 2024
No better way to tackle propaganda movies than to trash them without even watching. I've done my part.
For cinephiles who are new to Indian cinema, these are the movies endorsed by India's right-wing government. Please stay away.
1) The Vaccine war
2) The Kashmir Files
3) The Kerala story
4) The Sabarmati report

Leo 2023
How I wish Lokesh had left the suspense factor to the audience's interpretation. Imagine if the movie ended with Arjun's character questioning if Parthi is really Leo or not, and Parthi reacts with a grim smile, leaving the audience to ponder. Imagine the kind of excitement it would have generated for the potential sequel. This is the part that Rajmouli aced with the Bahubhali series. The first part ended with a banger, leaving the audience unsettled. Nevertheless, I'm not expecting anything from Vinoth, so Leo was our last chance to celebrate Vijay.
