Two hours of cheesy, instagram-filtered, plastic bubble gum torture that throws the audience into a big, empty story hole. And while you fall into that hole, sweet, simple songs are sung and awkward dances are performed. And when the characters start to float, you wish you could disappear the same way to a place far, far away where no one has ever heard of this movie.

Just think about it: Parents mourning about the time their children are spending on TikTok and watched this when they were young. F...ing hypocrisis.

The film does not tell, it only shows. That's as unsatisfying and creepy as the idea of a three-week trip in the woods, a nine-year-old girl and her educator, a grown man. He leaves his pregnant wife and small child alone because he wants to help this girl. Unauthentic and only for the sake of dramaturgy. And then, shortly afterwards, the would-be saviour gives up. Again, unbelievable and only for the sake of dramaturgy. Sad. And it goes on and on and on. Nobody cares about the girl, including the film itself.

What people from "the western side of the Berlin Wall" think what the GDR looked like. Good enough to satisfy their creepy fascination for the stasi, but that's it. Noteworthy alone is the performance of Ulrich Mühe and Brecht's poem.
