If you pretend kevin spacey and brian singer are normal people and not filthy scumbags this film is brilliant.

Conclave 2024
Great performances, great music, visually beautiful, and a plot that builds wonderfully, all the way up to the big reveal about the mexican priest. In my humble opinion, it was executed really poorly. The big reveal I was expecting was that he was an imposter and the clinic in question was dignitas, or something to that extent. What we got was way stupider. Feels like a film student's first trans character. Luckily it was late enough in the film to not detract significantly from my viewing experience.
Also W move for the yanks in the film to all be ambitious fools.

Killers of the Flower Moon 2023
Very good film from Scorsese. Not one of my top 3 from him but it would be many directors' all time best film. I do not consider it a criticism of the film to say that it was too long. I think that it needs either multiple viewings or to be viewed in 2 parts - 2 hours then 1 hour 30, as my brain did not retain information in the film. Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio are both wonderful as horrible manipulative arsehole and his horrible manipulated arsehole nephew.
