The Shining 1980
Just want to start off by saying that Kubrick’s camera work is just gorgeous. Everything is so calculated it is perfect cinematography. I can understand how Steven King went on to dislike this adaptation as Jack Nicholson’s character doesn’t have much of a development, besides just getting crazier as the movie goes on? But regardless, the acting, the slow buildup of tension, and the haunting music is so great throughout the entire movie you can’t help but be impressed
