I love love love a gothic setting so naturally I love love loved the movie. The scene where he outstretches his hand as it casts a shadow over the city is maybe one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Very reminiscent of that one Faust shot which is just. Ugh. So good.
I didn’t like that they had to seemingly justify the supernatural aspect like “oh she’s more inclined to the occult.” Could’ve been left out imo.
