Another trippy, fun movie in the same vein as Housu, only less extreme on the visual craziness. Most of the crazy shit doesn't happen until well past the midpoint of the movie either, so it takes a bit of patience, but in the end it is worth the wait.

Way later than I probably should have, with Prince Of Darkness, I finally completed the Apocalypse trilogy. It's not Carpenter's best, in fact, it's my least favorite of the three movies of said trilogy, but it's still a pretty enjoyable movie. It just takes a really long time to get going.
There's some nice Lovecraftian stuff, typical high quality Carpenter cinematography, a great score... The music kinda gives the same atmospheric vibes as The Thing, partly because both films have the same kind of minimalistic score.
And the highlight of the movie is obviously Alice Cooper impaling a guy with a bicycle.

This movie has a lot: love, family, friendship, emotion and heart. Sure, there's still attempts at humor, but unlike Thor L&T, it doesn't dominate the movie or undercut the serious moments, and most of it lands the way it should.
And the same absolutely goes for the emotional moments. All of the moments that I don't wanna spoil, I really had to swallow down a lump in the throat. I love you, you damn cgi raccoon...
Adam Warlock is very…
