The Siouxsie and the Banshees album?i think my official ranking of gregg arakis teenage apocalypse trilogy is totally f’d up > the doom generation > nowhere. where i found nowheres candy coated, fragmented style a bit tougher to firmly plant my feet on, totally f’d up totally f’d me up with its raw emotional undercurrent. all 3 are really special films that uniquely capture a very specific and resonant flavor of queer emptiness and longing.

idk when exactly, but at some point watching this, i started feeling super anxious. I was twiddling my thumbs bc the atmosphere had me unsettled as hell. as someone who loves when movies have a sense of dread lingering throughout that makes you wanna crawl outta your skin, I was surprisingly pleased when the credits rolled. well the atmosphere and the ending bc wowwww, just that alone has me ready for something new from the Philippous.
