  I don't really know why this was on my watchlist but something about the plot summary and the poster along with the 4.0 rating must have intrigued me. I was expecting a cozy wholesome movie about a young and quiet boy coping with childhood. Instead I got an extraordinarily pretentious artsy film that only people who have smoked upon the devil's lettuce could have enjoyed.

  I really like the feel of this movie and I think it has some really interesting scenes. However, Henrik Lundström does this movie a disservice with his portrayal of Pierre Tanguy. His acting feels completely stale, something that I unfortunately hsve gotten used to with him in other films. Some of this may come down to the somewhat cringeworthy lines this movie is plagued with from time to time, that doesn't help any of the actors. But Henrik Lundström is definitely the biggest culprit.
