  Ho..ly.. shit… What a fucking master class in directing and building an atmosphere. HUGE kudos to Matt Reeves for directing this film to near perfection. This Gotham City FEELS like Gotham City. It’s dark, dreary, crime-ridden… Perfect. The run time is a little… long. But I think it used every minute perfectly, and never felt like it was dragging on.

  ★★★★ Added

  First and foremost: FUCK the idiots at Spyglass and the producers for firing Melissa Barrera for supporting Palestine.

  Now, onto the actual review… This was a pretty satisfying addition, and quite a big step up from the last one. It’s far from perfect, and is forgettable at points, but it’s still a solid movie.

  The Wolf Man 1941

  ★★★★ Added

  Classic monster movie and practically started the whole werewolf genre in horror! Definitely didn’t age very well, but… it’s a movie from the 1940s, what do you expect? Even for the time, the makeup is still very impressively done, and a lot of the acting was better than I thought it’d be. Still has the classic “old movie overacting” thing going on, but it doesn’t feel as forced as other movies of the time do.
