  Bong Joon-Ho knows exactly what he wants to do with Pattinson, (a miscast) Ruffalo and Toni Collette. He has no idea what to do with everyone else — even the aliens! — except use them to advance plot. This leads to a lot of padding in an otherwise fun, gonzo satire. Brazil-by-way-of-Starship Troopers. Pattinson is great and parts of this really hum, including the explorations of class and what it means to live.
