never when i was watching any of the previous Alien movies did i think "wow cool movie but whats the origin story of the xenomorph?" its wholy irrelevant, an origin story has a higher chance of ruining it as a monster than fleshing it out and adding to it. despite this, Prometheus felt the need to explore that and that is carried on here in Covenant. David in this movie is legitimately interesting! yet the xenomorph aspect particularly feels forced.…
