  the quick cuts are everywhere and they kinda hurt my brain a little. also, this movie really had me going, ‘oh shit! he’s in this too?!’. also, there’s a character in here called lydia deets - what’s that about? also, i just got done with a few weeks of jury duty and GOD, i hope someone was surveilling me throughout.

  this movie’s kinda dumb.

  i’ll just say, firstly… can’t believe it’s taken me this long to see this. 2010 was a big year for me (i got married!), and i wasn’t at the multiplex as often. i also wasn’t vibing too hard on the “robin hood” trailers and was aware of the mixed-negative reception. so i didn’t prioritize it. but… the robin hood character is one of the most iconic characters of my life. kevin costner in “prince of thieves” was cool as shit…

  watched this countless times as a kid. was one of my favorites. it’s everything a young boy growing up in the 90s could want. even down to seeing the future with a game gear. i haven’t seen it since the mid-90s, but when a local theater screened this with a q&a with the two leads and the promise of an end-of-summer bash, it was a no-brainer. with a sold-out crowd of rowdy like-minded individuals, it was a blast.
