  Captain America: Brave New World 2025

  So desperate for a movie in the theater that I gave it a try. Wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be but by far not one of Marvels finest moments.  Cap is likeable and so is his side kick but not memorable.  I wouldn’t care if I saw another movie about them.  Harrison Ford is really good.  The movie could’ve used Julia L Dreyfus character to add some fun and humor. Also needed more Bucky & some other Marvel characters to make us care more.

  The Gorge 2025

  ★★★½ Watched 21 Feb 2025

  Pretty decent Apple movie.  The leads are at their best when they haven’t met in person yet and form a relationship over binoculars.  The action is fun and the effects and setting impressive.  The only thing that brings it down is Sig Weaver lukewarm performance as a villain - we needed more of an Aliens bravado here.

  Finally Netflix gets a movie right.  Much of what they put out is “so-so”.  This on the other hand is a lot of fun as an old fashioned thriller. Performances are a lot of fun and love that it’s not some over the top violent film.

  Should’ve kept it direct to video like was planned.  Loud and obnoxious songs that aren’t memorable.  Come on Disney you can do better.  Story wasn’t compelling.
