Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy 2025
I loved that romance wasn’t the central driving force of this instalment , but more about Bridget’s inner journey to find herself again after losing Mark. It would seem silly to see Bridget in her early 50s be solely preoccupied with body image and men as she had 20 years prior. I loved seeing her friends again, after gone missing in the third instalment (apparently that’s just adulthood?). What a joy to grow up with such old, good friends !

Didn't have the raucous sense of fun X had, or the Technicolor, twisted Wizard of Oz inspired character study that was Pearl. Plot was muddled, and it seemed like Maxxxine was rushed towards her ending. The sleazy, neon nightlife of 80s LA was captured beautifully, and the performances were fun - didn't expect to be let down on either of these elements. Overall a good time but not the best one in the trilogy!
