Odd movie. Florence Pugh is excellent in it, but the strange cult like elements of the movie just make it kinda weird. It wasn’t too bad, but I probably wouldn’t watch again.

Napoleon 2023
Acting was very good, though the chemistry between Phoenix and Kirby wasn’t always great and was often awkward (may have been a purposeful awkwardness). The action was very well coordinated and presented but was not as present as I’d have liked. The scores and music were excellent, as was the costume. Overall, it was just too long without enough substance to keep me interested throughout. Also, some awkward, uncomfortable sex scenes, but no nudity so that’s a positive.

Rachel Ziegler was freaking awful. Anytime she was on the screen I couldn’t take the movie seriously. From her awful southern accent to her many attempts at bluegrass music, she was just unpleasant. The movie failed to make me care about any of the characters. It’s only positives were the actions scenes and tie backs to the good hunger games.
