I am in the theater watching this movie right now and am giving it 5 stars for having an intermission. Bring back intermissions for long runtimes!!!

The End of the Tour 2015
A good portrait of David Foster Wallace and the high level themes of his work. Alternative title of the film could be My Dinner with Amadeus as it is mostly a conversation between Wallace and Lipsky, a writer that is covering his peer of greater success and talent. Overall enjoyable and thought provoking. Definitely also encourages viewers to dive into the works of both Wallace and Lipsky. If you’re looking for a movie that will make you want to dissociate while staring out a window at rain/snow while contemplating what your achievements mean big picture - add this to your watch list.

The Wild Bunch 1969
The violence in this western is very stylized and engaging. The quick cutting montages of slow motion falls, gunfire, and explosions truly captures the chaos and carnage occurring simultaneously. It’s an assault on the senses that makes me understand why this was so controversial upon its original release. Every character is pretty morally questionable, and it seems to me that is sort of the crux of the movie thematically. The lawmen seem to be even greedier than the wild bunch…
