Dare I say…I understand the hype completely.
Sean Baker’s other movies are so good but they’re hard to watch. The has a rewatchable quality the others don’t because while it’s heartbreaking, you already know the end and it’s funny in its fucked up way. There’s this underlying sadness and dread and the audience is just trying to keep up with the pace which is exactly how the character is feeling. UGH. And the last club scene is so perfect omggggggg.
