    Anora

Anora is a lovely film that I genuinely enjoyed and found to be a very pleasant experience. It’s the story of a prostitute who falls in love and marries the son of a Russian oligarch. So, the movie basically starts out like Pretty Woman, but more realistic, and then slowly turns into Uncut Gems—which is cool because it plays with your expectations and flips the fairytale romantic fantasy on its head.

The movie is interesting, engaging, entertaining, and quite funny…

The Substance is absolutely crazy. It’s a mad, insane, twisted, over-the-top body horror that is unbelievably enjoyable. Demi Moore goes all the way with this film, and she definitely deserves the nomination for Best Actress—I hope she wins.

This movie might be a little too much for some people because the further it goes, the crazier and more absurd it becomes. and the body sometimes make you uncomfortable, but that’s kind of the point . if you like surrealism, you’ll really enjoy it. I actually had a great time with it.

The POV shot gimmick is hard to get used to at first, but the deeper into the film you go, the more profound it becomes and the more interesting it gets. It also has an incredibly powerful ending.

I love it. The fact that it wasn’t nominated for Best Cinematography is a travesty.

    The Brutalist

    ★★★½

The Brutalist is a big film in more than one way. First of all, it’s insanely long—it’s 3 1/2 hours, and to be honest, I don’t think it needed to be that long. It follows the story of an architect who has escaped World War II and is trying to make it in America. Something I've seen before. The story spans decades, and it is very epic in scale and scope. It feels huge, with its visuals, cinematography, and incredible…
