  While the leading lady’s desire is predetermined and influenced by men around her (which can be hard to watch at times), the editing techniques, quick zooms, and in-camera effects in the last dream sequence in particular are well worth watching through to the end. Parts of his unfinished film “L’Enfer” can be seen in the last sequence too which is exciting to see.

  This film has the oddest sex scenes. It’s hard to believe her desire given how awkward and physically painful the scenes are. It also only becomes interesting when the denouement/last act occurs… probably because there are no more sex scenes.
