  Considering their recent political history with an attempted coup d'etat, it's no surprise as to why the people of Brazil really got behind this film and basically forced it into the wider public consciousness.

  The dictatorship era in Brazil depicted in this film is not one I knew much about, but that's one of the reasons why film can be so important, it is a tool to teach us on the mistakes of the past. An important idea brought up in this film, where if we don't learn then the same mistakes will be committed with impunity.

  Fernanda Torres is really good.

  Eddie Murphy in his peak was a different beast. Him rousing the country bar is all time. Don't know if it all holds up but still a really fun watch.

  The loudest gunfights since Mann's Heat and Jesse Plemons is a mad dog for heat checking his wife in perhaps her best performance.

  Also how insane must you be to go to a warzone and use your two hands for a camera not a gun. Our generation might actually thrive here tbf.
