This was just itching to be a musical and I have no idea why it wasn’t. The score is so alive and matches the vibrant hypnotic colorful world in way made me feel we were about to burst into song every time we held onto Daniela Vega’s face. The film was constantly teasing me with it too. I appreciate the ending when Marina finally sings but I wish they let her go off. She has so much build up inside…
