  I think this movie manages to become more than the sum of its parts given an amazing vulnerability and honesty through cheeky narration. It also feels like a breath of fresh air to see a music biopic where the artist in question is not treated as a world changing, biggest deal I'm the world. It's about a guy who wants to be famous to feel loved. He ends up finding along the way and through the mask of his attitude he becomes a proper entertainer and finds the value in that.

  The cinematography was great, and the acting was good. But I can feel the Oscar bait throughout, Seeing it with it's ambition onond makes it fall flat and pale in comparison to other Oscar contenders.
