    A good time but maybe be careful if you're squeamish. 
    I really enjoyed the action choreography and ironic timing of this movie. It probably had thirty times as much fake blood in it as Carrie did, which lent itself positively to the fun-horror aspect. A fun movie 👍

    possibly the best horror movie i've seen yet! there is a good mix of suspense and tension where the movie shows the audience exactly what is about to happen before it even gets close, which is one of my favorite ways to show horror. 
    i really liked that the plot was linear and wrapped itself up neatly at the end --- it thankfully dodged any convoluted subplots that i was worried it might fall into. the ending was uncharacteristically sweet…

    this movie is a VITAL, DEEPLY IMPORTANT piece of queer media. i honestly think it's a beautiful portrayal of queer lives, even if it isn't about real drag queens, or trans women if you prefer that interpretation. (I REALLY DO!) the story perfectly captures some of the highs and lows of living as openly queer --- the danger and uncertainty that many people face every day, but also the incredible joy, belonging, and love you can find in your community.
    10/10 this is a beautiful film that i love with all my heart and will forever recommend to EVERYONE!!!

    coraline is a masterpiece and gorgeous piece of art. the stop motion animation is always ASTOUNDING and just SO impressive. i got the chance to see it in theaters again and it really made the experience perfect for me. this is definitely a movie id recommend watching as an adult even if you saw it as a kid, because it is SO much better when you watch it while actually conscious of the story.
