this but as a limited series may have been everything… i wanted more world building! what has led everyone to be so desperate that they would follow mark ruffalo on a space colonizing expedition? why wait to reveal that there are dissidents? we see hints of climate crisis but im curious about what everyones motivations were.
separately, i do love the love story of mickey and nasha and her love for him even the parts of himself he finds unlikable. also i thought naomi ackie fighting ppl was really hot

soooooo good!! absolute masterclass on technology, estrangement, and capitalism. social estrangement and ai have been very present on my mind this year and i was certain her would be a kind of horror movie (for me at least) where a man falls in love with his operating system and increasingly isolates himself from society to focus on his “”relationship””. i’m glad this wasn’t that movie.

i was deceived into believing this was a romcom which it absolutely wasnt. i think two romantic dramas in one week is a lot for anyone tbh. the vignettes of a couple falling in love vs their tumultuous present can be really interesting but my dislike for presentday dean took away potential patience or adoration for past dean unfortunately. literally damn that’s crazy
