  hmmmmmm did I set my expectations a smidge high? this movie is great and was more enjoyable than The Northman, but I fear I am going into these movies expecting The Lighthouse-level sauce and innovation. so it's my fault. this is one of the best looking movies i've seen in a while, and hearing willem dafoe's laugh was my captain america lifting the hammer. many good things to say, yet i think i prefer eggers when he's working…
