Soderberg releasing two banger movies this year within less than 3 months was not on my bingo card.
This was my kind of film, an espionage thriller and game of cat and mouse that doesn’t need action set pieces, but dialogue. I loved the writing/script from David Koepp. Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett together is a guaranteed formula for success but Maria Abela was definitely a standout. That tense ass dinner scene was so good!

That song should be the tagline of the movie. I wanted to like this so much more than I did. Johnathan Majors was magnificent in this, and the film tackles obsession, mental health, envy…but it just does not deliver.
The movie also overstays its welcome with its runtime. At one point this could’ve easily been a 4 star film, but the more it dragged and lost its identity in the later half, the less I liked it.
