What a fucking difficult movie to grapple with. I went in with the lowest possible expectations and came away with complicated, divided opinions.
Basically, this is one of the dumbest movies I have ever seen. The ending completely contradicts the critical themes established at the beginning of the movie and explored throughout. A movie that in every way seems to have been meant to criticize the thoughtless worship of power ends up falling into exactly that same trap.
